My Journey to Bringing Jiu-Jitsu Home

For over a decade, I’ve been driving an hour away—two to three times a week—to train with the best Jiu-Jitsu coaches in the area. After 13 years of training, I earned my black belt. That’s when I knew it was time to bring this craft back to my hometown—the place where I was born and raised.
Growing up, I faced my share of struggles. I was bullied and often felt like I had nowhere to turn. The only time I felt confident and in control was during my high school wrestling seasons. But once the season ended, I fell back into the same patterns, getting into trouble and blaming it on the lack of opportunities around me.
In my early 20s, after making one bad decision too many, I knew I had to change. That’s when I discovered Jiu-Jitsu. It gave me structure, discipline, and—most importantly—confidence. It helped me find a purpose and a positive outlet, something I wish I had when I was younger.
Now, my goal is to build a Jiu-Jitsu community in my hometown—one built on integrity, discipline, and transparency. I want to give others the same gift that Jiu-Jitsu gave me: a path to self-improvement, resilience, and a better life.
I also want to show the lighthearted side of Jiu-Jitsu and help my students build confidence—both on and off the mats. Whether it’s learning to overcome challenges, growing as individuals, or just having fun while training, my goal is to create an environment where everyone can thrive.
I’m here to train, grow, and challenge myself every day—right alongside you. Let’s build something great together!
